Recently NRC conducted a public WebEx on the proposed interpretation of the low-level radioactive waste disposal regulations in 10 CFR 20.2001.  The March 6, 2020 Federal Register Notice announced the public meeting and public comment period.

On April 9, 2020 NRC issued a FRN extending the comment period on the proposed interpretation to 20.2001 to July 20, 2020.  We are aware of the current National state of affairs and the NRC will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic to determine if an additional extension may be warranted.
